Since i haven't done it already, i'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ms. Obama on being the second First Lady after Hilary Clinton to make the Vogue cover. André Leon Talley, Vogue Editor at Large is of the opinion that Sarah Palin's $150k clothing splurge was a tad too much to put it nicely. Talley believes that her spending creates a rift between her and what she represents. "I think that every woman should put her best foot forward in her career and she's a professional. I think there's a bit of a double standard because when you hear her talking, they call her the Wal-Mart hockey mom. And Wal-Mart hockey moms would never spend $150,000 on clothing. Most people in our country don't make $150,000 a year and she spent it on a clothing splurge," Talley said.

Well, now that the presidential election is over, she can sell the clothes on Ebay and try to pay back some of that campaign debt! :p

According to PAGE SIX, Vogue's ANDRE Leon Talley can't Afford XXL Calvin Klein thongs. ANDRE Leon Talley was in Macy's picking out XXL Calvin Klein thongs, but was thwarted when he tried to open a store credit- card account, the spy said. "He was denied and had trouble paying for it and had to come back . . . it was a big fiasco," the source said. Vogue spokes man Patrick O'Connell con firmed Talley was in Macy's, but insisted he was buying Polo boxers - not thongs.
