Rihanna For Gucci

Gucci’s Frida Giannini and Rihanna lit the UNICEF snowflakeare on Fifth Avenue at 57th Street yesterday as part of Gucci’s ongoing partnership with UNICEF. The event took place at Grand Army Plaza, and featured a special performance by Ne-Yo, followed by a party at the Gucci flagship to celebrate "the launch of the 4th annual Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF which continues to support education, healthcare, protection and clean water programs for orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa." You go girl!






 
Alexander Wang's New Design Strategy for this economic climate

Fasion Designer Alexander Wang recently shared his thoughts in relation to the current economic state of the world: "There’s no point in creating clothes so out-there, so special that no one can wear them. I try to stay in touch with the customer. We’ve been lucky — our sales are growing. I think we were also pretty lucky to get out a T-shirt line. It’s nice to have a $65 product. But it’s also nice to have a $1,200 dress, say, for that person at Colette. The key now is that dress has to be worth what it costs."
